The HETT (Healthcare Excellence Through Technology) Show is one of the UK’s leading healthtech exhibitions, bringing together the digital health community to explore the latest innovations and advancements in healthcare technology. It’s a key event for networking, learning and discovering how digital solutions are transforming the NHS and patient care. The Hippo team is excited to be joining the HETT Show 2025 on 7-8 October, a fantastic opportunity to discuss the future of digital health and catch up with our healthcare colleagues.

A key focus at the show will be the government’s NHS ten-year plan, published back in July and with the agenda focused on how we can harness technology to address its key ambitions across health and care delivery – making community care a reality, accelerating digital transformation, and embedding prevention across patient services.

Technology is central to achieving this vision, however the capability of healthcare workforces, governance of data and process, technology leadership and harnessing user-centred principles can all contribute to overcoming barriers that stand in the way of building a ‘fit for future’ NHS that delivers continuous, accessible and integrated care for patients.

Contribute to the conversation on making AI concepts a reality

Harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) will also support achieving the NHS ten year plan, and offers vast potential to assist clinicians and improve patient care for the NHS, however the topic can often seem complex and inaccessible for many, posing challenges to effective adoption and implementation.

At HETT, our Technology Director, Ed Hiley, and Principal Consultant, Anna Lay, will share detailed insights in their dedicated case study session: “From Theory to Reality: Identifying Complex Patients with Machine Learning“. Drawn from hands-on experience, attendees will be provided with a pragmatic and grounded perspective on the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, directly from leading experts in our team.

Ed and Anna will show how artificial intelligence and machine learning can offer huge potential to support decision making and capacity for NHS and healthcare services. Furthermore delegates will gain practical insights from our partnership with the Mid Yorkshire NHS Teaching Trust, where the Hippo team built a decision support tool that empowers frontline pharmacists to prioritise patients, maximise resources, and ultimately enhance patient safety and outcomes.

What you’ll learn in our session:

  • How to embark on an AI project and take it from concept to deployment how AI-powered tools can support clinicians and staff in delivering healthcare services across a wide range of applications.
  • The contribution of AI tools to staff well-being and improved equality of care for patients.
  • Implementing a responsible AI approach from the outset of an innovation project.
  • How we can approach upskilling clinicians and broaden their knowledge of Generative AI and machine learning, making these concepts accessible to stakeholders, building trust, and removing the barrier of the unknown.

The goals of the session are to provide a deeper understanding of how to enable, build and deploy AI projects in a clinical setting. All while embedding confidence and trust across your teams, uncovering approaches that enable your people, processes, technology and data to succeed.

Join us at HETT 2025
