At Hippo, we prioritise our team's well-being, career fulfilment, and overall job satisfaction. We believe in fostering a positive and healthy working environment that empowers our employees to thrive.

Our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion goes beyond just box-ticking exercises. We view it as an opportunity to drive meaningful, lasting change. By promoting a diverse workforce, we can unleash our collective potential for innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and inclusivity.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply and tailor our application process to accommodate any specific needs you may have. Our aim is to provide an environment where everyone can flourish and succeed. Join us on this journey towards a brighter, more inclusive future.

At Hippo, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting charitable causes. That's why we provide our employees with the opportunity to take two volunteer days per year, enabling them to contribute to the charity of their choice. In addition, our Flexible Benefits Programme includes donations to various charities, allowing us to make a positive impact beyond our own organisation.

We are also committed to promoting sustainability and reducing waste. Our company mobile phones and laptops are donated to charities for reuse every three years rather than being discarded. We are proud to play our part in reducing e-waste and contributing to the circular economy.

Furthermore, we have pledged to fund an initiative to plant five trees each year to celebrate every Hippo's work anniversary. This is not only a symbolic gesture but also a tangible effort to make a positive impact on the environment and combat climate change. We believe that by making these small but significant contributions, we can create a brighter future for ourselves, our communities, and the planet.

At Hippo, we take our responsibility to protect the planet seriously. That's why we have developed a comprehensive Carbon Reduction Plan, with the goal of achieving Net Zero status by 2025. We are proud to support the UK government's ambitious target of reaching Net Zero by 2050.

Our plan reflects our commitment to promoting carbon reduction initiatives and funding broader carbon offsetting projects. We recognize that reducing our carbon footprint is an ongoing effort, which is why we plan to measure our carbon emissions every three months and publicly report our progress against our Carbon Reduction Plan at least once a year.

Our next publication is due on 1st November 2023. We encourage you to download a copy of our current Carbon Reduction Plan using the link below and learn more about our efforts to combat climate change. We believe that by working together, we can make a meaningful impact and create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
