What is Digital Capability for Health 2 (DCfH2)?

The Digital Capability for Health 2 (DCfH2) government framework is designed to help public health and social care organisations procure digital services. It provides access to organisations like Hippo who can support the development of new digital solutions and the maintenance of existing products.

DCfH2 aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of digital transformation in the healthcare sector by providing a streamlined procurement process and access to a range of experienced suppliers. The framework includes services for:

  • Development and operations (DevOps): For ongoing minor improvements of live services.
  • Digital definition services: Creating and progressing projects through discovery and alpha phases.
  • Build and transition services: Building services using beta and live phases.
  • End-to-end development services: Designing and developing services from discovery to live phases.
  • Data management services: For performing data collection, data processing, analysis, and management of data and services.

By using DCfH2, healthcare organisations can access expertise and resources to help deliver innovative digital solutions that improve patient care and efficiency.
