At Hippo, we believe that people and their needs are essential; that is why at the core of what we do is ensuring services are designed using an evidence-based user research approach. We also feel it is critical to apply this approach to our business and our people as our people culture is an integral part of Hippo that we need to nurture as we continue to grow. We want to keep sight of the individuality of the Hippo herd, recognising that people will have differing needs.

With this commitment in mind, we’re excited to be launching our new flexible benefits programme on 1st November 2021. Our new benefits programme empowers employees to pick and choose further benefits up to the value of their benefits points allowance so they can tailor their package according to their individual needs. Options include healthcare cover, dental cover, additional pension contributions, additional holiday days, wellbeing funding or charitable donations.

The flexible benefits programme is in addition to an existing enhanced pension scheme, as well as life insurance cover, two days of charity leave per annum, season ticket loan scheme, cycle to work scheme, and access to a wide range of discounts and perks via a Perkbox membership.
