Government Transformation Summit 2025
Most organisations want to deliver faster. But faster does not always mean better.
In the UK public sector, major tech programmes are 60 percent more likely to be rated Red, meaning they face serious delivery risk, than non tech projects. Only nine percent are assessed as likely to succeed. And just 17 percent of leaders say their transformation efforts have been fully successful.
So it is fair to ask, what does good pace really look like?
Because delivery at speed is only valuable when it is aligned with purpose, when pace and direction are working together.
At Hippo, we are not chasing acceleration for its own sake. We are focused on clarity. Moving quickly is possible, with solid foundations in place and established processes providing guardrails.
That means things like:
• Clear product ownership
• A shared understanding of what the MVP really is
• Scope and planning that can adapt as things change
• Keeping the focus on value, not just pace
That is the conversation we are bringing to the Government Transformation Summit. If this is something you are facing too, come and talk to us. We are always keen to hear what is working, what is getting in the way, and what still needs figuring out.
